Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On behalf of all the members of the General Council, I am happy to send my warmest Christmas greetings and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year. May this season bring you blessings and joy.
In these final days of our Advent journey, we join Christians everywhere as we prepare to celebrate the season of hope and light. We affirm our belief that human history is forever changed by the love of God manifest in the birth of his only Son. We affirm our belief that Jesus Christ is our light and our hope. We affirm our belief that God is with us.
I invite you to join with me in celebrating this Christmas season with a renewed joy, with a renewed conviction that all will be well as we recall the words of the Evangelist Luke, “For today in the city of David, a Savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord.”
