Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As the global pandemic of the coronavirus continues to spread with increased suffering and death, I am very sorry to write you with the news of the death of two Viatorians in Spain. Father Jose Luis Ezcurra and Brother Jose Luis Acevedo both died in Valladolid on Sunday, April 5, 2020, after contracting the coronavirus. I know that you join me in prayer that they may rest in the peace of the Lord. Please also remember our brothers and sisters in Spain as they mourn the loss of two members of the community.
At the same time, let us join our prayers for all those who suffer from this virus worldwide. May the Lord strengthen them and give them hope. We pray also for all those who care for the sick — may they be safe and healthy as they do God’s work!
